Mangosteen, commonly known as the “Queen of Fruit”, is considered “cooling” in the Eastern Tradition, making it a good a counter-balance to, and often paired with the “heaty” durian.
The fruit has an inedible, deep reddish-purple colored skin, which when ripe turns dark purple. The flesh is slightly tangy, acidic, juicy and sweet, with somewhat fibrous and fluid-filled vesicles. The seeds are almond-shaped.
It is rich in antioxidants, and has antitumoral, antiallergic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antiviral properties. It has phenolic compounds such as xanthones, anthocyanins, phenolic acids and benzophenones that has properties good for inflammatory diseases pertaining to the nervous system, arthritis, cancer, and the digestive system as well as dermal and muscular issues. It has been used in traditional medicine for the treatment of abdominal pain, diarrhea, dysentery, infected wound, suppuration, and chronic ulcer. Mangosteen pericarp may have potential use in kidney and liver treatment and obesity treatment and increase in good cholesterol LDL.

The fruits shipped are are whole, fresh, firm,clean, free of cracks in skin or abnormal pronounced blemishes, free of any visible foreign matter, free of foreign smell and/or taste, possess characteristic of the variety, free of disease, rotting or deterioration, free from mechanical and/or physiological damage.
Quality Grading :
We have several grades Such as Super-1, Super-2 and Super-3, which grading depends on the percentage of defects such as bruising and scratches on the skin of the fruit, provided these do not affect the general appearance of the produce, the quality, the keeping quality and presentation in the package
